Coming in 2012 - a new and exciting 8-part story set in Regency England.
When you’re rich and powerful the world is your oyster. However, that looks set to change for the Montagues of Castonbury Park. As they slowly come to terms with loss and grief in the aftermath of Waterloo, their troubles are compounded when ill-judged financial decisions come home to roost. Now they stand to lose everything. The rightful heir is dead and complex legal problems surround the matter of inheritance. These are compounded by the arrival of a new claimant to the title. What follows is a race against time to establish the rightful heir and release the money that will save the family from ruin. The obstacles to personal happiness have never been greater, but, for all their faults, the Montagues have never lacked resolution or courage. When it comes to love each of them will do whatever it takes to win.
This series has provided all eight authors with an exciting challenge. My contribution is the seventh book in the series. My hero is former soldier and younger brother, Harry Montague. When he left Spain at the end of the Peninsular War he vowed never to return. However, duty to family takes precedence over personal demons. Using diplomatic contacts he hopes to secure the information he needs and then return home in the shortest time possible. Unfortunately, it isn’t that simple, and he finds himself on a quest that will lead him through the length of Spain. Adding to his problems is Elena Ruiz, a disturbing and enigmatic beauty with an agenda of her own. When Harry is unwittingly drawn into her plans he has no idea that his life is about to be turned upside down. He is certainly not prepared for the attraction Elena exerts, much less the shocking truth about her past or its unexpected connection with his own.
